• The book is very well organized and helps to make the concepts very understandable.
• It is a must-have for anyone involved in web development and programming.

Head First Ajax: A Brain-Friendly Guide 1st Edition by Rebecca M. Riordan

• Yup this is my favorite book on Ajax. I love Head First books but this one far exceeded my expectations.
• Head First Ajax by Rebecca Riordan is by far the best introduction to AJAX.
• Great!
• I am enjoying this book as it teaches new AJAX concepts, but also reinforces other XML and JavaScript skill sets and shows how they play nicely together.
• It presented the ideas in an easily understood format with good examples and exercises.

Ajax in Action by Dave Crane, Eric Pascarello, and Darren James

• Awesome!
• "Ajax in Action" is not only an excellent book on Ajax but the best JavaScript book I have ever read.
• This book offers several nice ways to do Ajax programming -- from a roll your own approach to a third party library such as Rico.
• Highly recommended for anyone developing what you might call a Web 2.0 application. The only Ajax book I would keep on my shelf.
• If you're serious about helping to revolutionize the Web, you need this book.

Bulletproof Ajax 1st Edition by Jeremy Keith and Aaron Gustafson

• It is a basic intro to AJAX, but very solid and detailed. Highest recommendation.
• A recommended Ajax programming book.
• This is clear, concise, and what I would describe as a "page turner".
• The book has practical examples. One of the best web developer books I've ever read.
• This tiny book is an excellent hands-on introduction to AJAX, the way AJAX should be done.

AJAX and PHP: Building Modern Web Applications 2nd Edition by Bogdan Brinzarea and Cristian Darie

• This is a good introduction to AJAX.
• Starts out very basic and very easy to understand. Even covers using AJAX with jquery.
• This book will get you up and running with AJAX.
• The authors do a great job of breaking down the subjects with a balance between atomic examples and more functionality and thus build more complex examples.

Ajax: The Complete Reference 1st Edition by Thomas A. Powell

• Excellent resource.
• This book is one of the best AJAX books that I have seen.
• The book is well organized, and I was able to find what I needed to do without reading the book cover to cover.
• Nice book, full of helpful information. Will recommend this book to friends, and a good price.
• But if you're serious about mastering Ajax-type transport techniques, it's invaluable.
